The American Jobs Plan proposed by President Biden calls for funding for full removal and replacement of all lead service lines remaining in use in the U.S. This is important for tap water safety because lead service lines (LSL) can be a major source of lead in tap water. Lead is a toxin and is especially hazardous for infants and young children.
