What Should Babies Drink?

When it’s time to drink something more than breastmilk or formula, plain water is best for babies. Learn more with a new video from 1,000 Days about introducing water to babies.

Nutrition during a child’s early years has lifelong impacts, but more than half of mothers say they receive mixed messages about what food and beverages to provide their young children. 1,000 Days has created a series of 12 bite-sized (and oh-so-cute!) videos about what, when and how to feed infants and toddlers.

While 1,000 Days’ goal is to develop resources for across the entire 1,000 day window from pregnancy to age 2, this video series focuses on the introduction of solid foods and builds upon the Healthy Eating Research report Feeding Guidelines for Infants and Toddlers and CDC’s new website on infant and toddler feeding.
