Summer’s here! That means that it’s time to do what we can to stay cool and refreshed!  The healthiest way to hydrate – for your children and for you – is to quench thirst with plain drinking water. 

 

Just in time for summer, you can use the Challenge to boost drinking water consumption and have fun doing it, too.

 

Research shows that the learning goes home!  In a pilot study in Marin, California, childcare settings, children continued to drink more water instead of sugary beverages at home, after a drinking water intervention at childcare.

 

Instructions:

  1. Select any of the challenges listed below.

  2. Complete the challenge.

  3. Click on the submit link on the CACFP TAKE ACTION CHALLENGE WEBSITE and fill out the challenge form (at the bottom of the page). Be sure to select Group 3: Summer Splash.

  4. Upload your picture, tell your story and collect your points!
